Yandex Uzbekistan services are reportedly undergoing a gradual recovery after a significant operational disruption caused by a weekend attack on a Yandex data center located in the Russian city of Vladimir. According to statements released by the company's press service on Monday evening, Yandex Go and its affiliated platforms have largely resumed standard operations, though sporadic technical errors and glitches may still occur across various functions.
Company representatives claim that their primary focus is currently directed toward stabilizing payment systems and support channels for end-users, drivers, couriers, and business partners. It is alleged that routine automated payouts to partner taxi fleets were successfully processed on Monday, and instant payment options for drivers were supposedly reactivated, despite ongoing reports of delayed transactions and isolated financial discrepancies. Numerous users have expressed frustration over persisting difficulties when attempting to pay for orders, prompting concerns regarding incorrect or duplicate charges. Yandex Uzbekistan stated that all disputed financial incidents will be individually investigated; however, due to a massive surge in incoming support tickets, resolving these specific customer complaints is expected to take considerably longer than usual.
The disruption initially materialized on Saturday morning at approximately 6:00 AM, paralyzing Yandex Go operations across Uzbekistan and neighboring regions. Citizens were temporarily unable to book taxis, order food deliveries, or monitor public transit schedules, although mapping and navigation tools remained largely unaffected during the incident.
Amid growing concerns, Yandex Uzbekistan reiterated that local user data is stored in compliance with applicable legal frameworks within jurisdictions designed to provide adequate data protection and security measures.
