President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the administration of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district in Tashkent on April 23, according to the presidential press service.

During the visit, the president inspected a newly built bridge over the Salar canal near the administration building. He also reviewed the results of landscaping work in the surrounding area and planted a tree. Afterwards, the head of state examined the conditions created in the district administration building.

It was noted that from 1992 to 1996, Shavkat Mirziyoyev served as the governor (hokim) of Mirzo-Ulugbek district, contributing to its socio-economic development. In the administration building, the president was presented with an office and a service car restored to match the appearance from his tenure as district head. An exhibition dedicated to key decisions made by the president during his time as governor was also organized. During the tour, the president shared memories related to his work in that period.

"Until now, about 30 organizations in Mirzo-Ulugbek district, including public security, transport, social support, utilities, finance, and banking structures, operated separately, each within its own scope. The lack of a unified system seriously hindered the prompt resolution of citizens' appeals, leading to unnecessary loss of time and excessive red tape," the press service statement said.

A situation center with an AI-based "Smart District" platform has been established at the administration. It is designed for analysis, rapid identification, and resolution of problems, and also allows maintaining online communication with representatives of mahallas (neighborhood committees) and providing prompt feedback.

The center monitors social and utility issues and controls the execution of citizens' appeals. In emergency situations, it ensures operational management and coordination of relevant services.

The platform includes a "Safe District" system for monitoring offenses and public safety. An AI-based digital map of entrepreneurs is used to forecast and improve tax collection. The "AI Davomat" system aims to prevent unjustified school absences and neglect of minors. Similar platforms are already operating in Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, and Almazar districts.

After reviewing the situation center's activities, the president instructed that this system be implemented in the remaining districts of Tashkent. He also ordered regional governors, prosecutors, heads of internal affairs bodies, security services, and tax authorities to study this experience in Mirzo-Ulugbek district.
