Large-scale inspections of amusement rides have started in the parks of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Specialists from emergency and supervisory services are checking the serviceability of equipment and the readiness of personnel for emergency situations to ensure safe leisure for residents.

According to the press service of the Tashkent City Emergency Management Department, the inspections are carried out jointly with the State Committee for Industrial Safety. Inspectors are focusing on the technical condition of structures, reliability of mechanisms, as well as the condition of locking devices and safety belts — especially at facilities popular among children and youth.

In addition to the technical aspect, specialists are also assessing the human factor: park staff are being tested on their knowledge of emergency response protocols and first aid skills. The main goal of these measures is to eliminate the risk of technical failures and create the most comfortable environment for visitors.

The need for such strict control is dictated by a recent tragic incident in Andijan. In the local park "Bogishamol", an amusement ride collapsed, resulting in injuries. The cause of the incident was a broken metal support and snapped chains.
