Sergeant Bekzod Goyibnazarov, an inspector with the Road Safety Service of the Andijan Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, has been accused of defrauding multiple car sellers. Using his official position, he filmed himself in uniform to gain trust, sold vehicles not registered in his name, and allegedly spent the proceeds on online gambling.
On October 13, 2025, Goyibnazarov met with Abdullokh Nematov, who was selling his Gentra car. The vehicle was valued at $8,500, and the officer promised to pay by December 20. However, seven months later, neither the money nor the car has been returned.
Believing a uniformed officer would not deceive him, Nematov initially tried to stay calm but eventually realized he had been scammed and filed complaints with the traffic inspectorate and the Andijan city prosecutor's office.
The inspector attempted to resolve the situation by asking the victim to withdraw the complaint, promising to pay $1,000 monthly from his salary. That promise also went unfulfilled.
Further investigation revealed that Goyibnazarov had defrauded other individuals as well. He allegedly took money from several people, including $7,200 for a Captiva car that was never transferred to the buyer, and failed to pay for 5-6 iPhones. Victims claim he admitted to losing the money on the 1XBET online gambling platform.
According to Abdumajid Rayimjonov, head of the press service of the Andijan Road Safety Department, the sergeant had been employed since 2013. Following multiple complaints in late 2025, an internal investigation was conducted, and on March 30, 2026, Goyibnazarov was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies.
