A man from the Fergana region has been found guilty of the premeditated murder of his wife and minor child, according to a report on the Zamon program of Sevimli TV channel.

Court documents reveal that the incident occurred on November 3, 2025, at around 6:00 PM. The defendant, identified as Hayitov, was under the influence of alcohol when he arrived at his father-in-law's house, where his wife Hayitova was living with their two children.

The conflict stemmed from the wife's legal action to claim alimony from her husband. Earlier, Hayitov had already served a 15-day administrative arrest for failing to pay child support.

After completing his sentence, the man returned home drunk and started a quarrel over alimony. During the argument, he repeatedly stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife in front of their minor children. He also stabbed his 3-year-old daughter.

The child died at the scene, while the woman succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital. The perpetrator fled after committing the crime.

In court, he was found guilty under Article 97, Part 2, clauses "a, v, j, i" (murder of a person known to be helpless, murder of two or more persons with extreme cruelty).

The court sentenced him to 19 years of imprisonment to be served in a general-regime correctional colony.
