The incident occurred on May 12, 2024, at approximately 19:20, with court materials indicating that the driver was operating a BYD Han vehicle without proper driving documents at a speed of about 100 km/h.

The driver failed to comply with the inspector’s lawful demand to stop and struck the inspector with the front of the car while the officer was performing his duties. As a result, the inspector sustained severe bodily injuries. Quick medical assistance from doctors saved the inspector’s life, but he suffered a serious leg injury, regained consciousness after 34 days, and underwent treatment for several months.

This criminal case was reviewed in the Chilanzar District Court. According to the court verdict, the defendant was found guilty of crimes under Part 2, Clause “b” of Article 104 of the Criminal Code (Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm in connection with the performance of one’s official or civic duty) and Part 2 of Article 219 (Resistance to a representative of authority or a person performing a civic duty).

In accordance with Article 59 of the Criminal Code (Sentencing for multiple crimes) through partial summation of penalties, he was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment. The defendant was taken into custody in the courtroom.
