In Tashkent, two young drivers have been sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest for organizing extreme street races within the city limits, aimed at gaining popularity on social media. They accelerated a Mercedes-Benz to speeds far exceeding legal limits—reaching 210 and 222 km/h—and used illegal special signals to enhance the visual appeal of their videos.

The races took place on Fayziy Street in the Sergeli district. The drivers themselves posted footage of their stunts online, which enabled law enforcement agencies to quickly identify them. The Chilanzar District Court found them guilty of an administrative offense; in court, the young men fully admitted their guilt, stating they only realized the seriousness of their actions after being detained.

The violators confessed, "We didn't understand how serious this was," and urged their followers not to repeat their mistakes, emphasizing compliance with the law. Law enforcement authorities highlighted that social media monitoring has now been intensified—any video evidence of violations will trigger an investigation.

Anyone who may have been affected by the actions of these individuals is encouraged to contact the nearest internal affairs department or call the emergency number 102. This incident underscores ongoing concerns about road safety and adherence to traffic regulations in urban areas.
