President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States. The leaders discussed the current state of bilateral relations.
According to the press service of the Uzbek leader, the sides noted that Mirziyoyev's official visit to Ankara in January brought Uzbek-Turkish strategic partnership to a new level. A new system of interaction between ministries and agencies has been established.
Since the beginning of the year, mutual trade turnover, the number of joint ventures and flights have been growing dynamically. A solid portfolio of projects with Turkish companies has been formed. The leaders also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov. The heads of state discussed the development of bilateral relations and topical issues of the region.
