As of early 2026, men in Uzbekistan continue to slightly outnumber women, according to the National Statistics Committee. On average, there are 1,015 men per 1,000 women.

Men make up 50.4% of the population, while women account for 49.6%. However, regional variations are significant.

The largest imbalance is recorded in Namangan region, with 1,034 men per 1,000 women. It is followed by Kashkadarya (1,029), Andijan (1,027), and Navoi (1,026) regions.

In Surkhandarya, the ratio is 1,025 men per 1,000 women; in Jizzakh and Fergana regions, 1,019 each; in Samarkand, 1,016. More balanced ratios are observed in Karakalpakstan (1,010), Syrdarya (1,009), Tashkent region (1,008), Bukhara (1,006), and Khorezm (1,004).

The only region where women outnumber men is the city of Tashkent, with 966 men per 1,000 women.
