On June 1, a transformer caught fire at the Vistavochnaya substation in Tashkent's Olmazor district, according to the capital's Emergency Situations Department.
The fire was reported at 6:57 PM local time. Firefighting crews arrived at the scene at 7:01 PM, contained the blaze by 7:12 PM, and fully extinguished it by 7:17 PM. No casualties were reported.
The Olmazor district administration stated that the accident caused temporary power outages in several neighborhoods, including Quyosh, Orzu, Universitet, Ziyo, Zamondosh, Alon, Chustiy, Chigatoy Darvoza, and Ziyokor.
According to the district administration, 6,200 households, 807 legal entities, 18 social facilities, and student dormitories were left without electricity. Specialized teams are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the accident and restore power supply.
