Customs officers in Uzbekistan's Fergana region have uncovered nearly 16 tons of goods that were either missing from the declaration or mislabeled during an inspection of a large shipment from China.
Officers at the Kokand customs post, working with the anti-smuggling department, examined the cargo delivered to a local company. According to documents, 14 types of goods weighing 25 tons were declared for free circulation.
During the inspection in the presence of a company representative, it was found that some goods were not listed in the declaration, while others were listed under different names. The check revealed about 16 tons of seven types of goods worth over 2 billion soums.
All products have been seized. A pre-investigation check is underway. Earlier, at the Sergeli customs post, shipments of acoustic systems and electronic cigarettes without proper documents were detained.
