A road traffic accident involving a Tico passenger car and a Sinotruk truck in the Nurota district of Navoi region has resulted in one fatality, according to the regional traffic police.

The incident occurred on June 3 at around 08:30 on the 86th kilometer of the D-191 Kyzylkum ring road, passing through the Tinchlik mahalla in Nurota district.

According to reports, the Tico driver, moving from a secondary road, failed to give way to the Sinotruk truck traveling on the main road, leading to a collision between the two vehicles.

The Tico driver sustained injuries and was taken to the intensive care unit of the district hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.

Following the accident, a meeting was held with local residents to discuss road safety issues. During a mobile reception, instructions were given to responsible officials to implement proposals from citizens regarding the improvement of road infrastructure.

Earlier, in the Uzun district of Surkhandarya region, two people died in an accident involving Damas and Nexia vehicles. The cars were driven by 17- and 20-year-old individuals without driver's licenses. Other participants sustained various injuries.
