On June 11, the concrete covering of the right slope and coastal zone of the "Spillway" structure on the Chirchik River collapsed in the "Nurafshon" mahalla of Bektemir district, Tashkent.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, surrounding buildings, structures and residential houses were not damaged and there is no threat to them.

A working group led by Minister of Water Resources Sh. Khamraev arrived at the scene. An operational headquarters was established consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, relevant organizations and the Tashkent city administration.

To eliminate the collapse, 2 excavators, 10 dump trucks, 2 units of equipment and workers were involved. Work is underway to strengthen the bank of the Chirchik River.

Working groups are conducting preventive conversations with residents and entrepreneurs in houses and facilities located along the Chirchik River bank in Bektemir district, explaining that there is no cause for concern.

As of 18:00 on June 11, the water level in the Chirchik River is 278 cubic meters per second, and the water discharge is decreasing.
