Starting from autumn this year, Uzbekistan's basic calculation value (BCV) will increase to 440,000 soums. Since most state duties, fees, fines, and taxes are tied to this indicator, its change will become one of the key economic innovations.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree 'On Increasing the Amounts of Wages, Pensions, Scholarships, and Allowances.' The document provides for a phased change in payments for millions of citizens.

The first stage of large-scale indexation will start on July 1 and will affect the social block, with payments increasing by 7%. As a result, the minimum old-age pension will rise to 983,000 soums, and the disability pension to 1,083,000 soums. Monthly financial assistance to needy families from the Social Register will amount to 450,000 soums.

Child allowances will also change: payments for children under 3 years old will be 386,000 soums, for children aged 3 to 18 — 295,000 soums, with an additional 177,000 soums for the second child and 118,000 soums for the third and subsequent children. The base amount for calculating pensions from July will be 504,000 soums.

Following the July reforms, from September 1, salaries of public sector employees and student scholarships will increase by 7%, and the minimum wage will be set at 1,360,000 soums per month.
