According to a decision by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies on anti-corruption issues, 29 employees of the capital's khokimiyats (city administrations) have been found involved in corruption-related offenses and conflicts of interest. A total of 1,353 administrative offense protocols were issued against some of them.

Individual preventive conversations were held with four assistants to the khokims of the Mirabad, Chilanzar, Yunusabad, and Yashnabad districts, as well as with the deputy khokim of the Yakkasaray district for construction, barrier-free environment, ecology, and landscaping – head of the improvement department.

During the talks, they were warned about the inadmissibility of corruption and conflicts of interest, as well as the need to strictly observe official ethics.

A study of compliance with conflict-of-interest legislation revealed that 167 employees participate in commercial organizations. To eliminate violations, the founding activities of 6 employees in 20 business entities were terminated; employment contracts with 13 employees were canceled; 7 commercial organizations linked to 7 employees were transferred to the liquidation process; 2 commercial and non-commercial organizations linked to 2 employees were removed from the state register; and the managerial activities of 4 employees in commercial organizations were stopped.

Individual preventive conversations were held with 49 khokimiyat employees who committed violations. Issues concerning 55 employees were reviewed by ethics commissions, and a moral measure of warning was applied.

To ensure transparency in public administration, an analysis was conducted of decisions and orders adopted through the unified electronic system E-qaror in January–April of this year. It was found that in January 2026, 50.4% of decisions and orders were posted in the system in hidden mode.

The compliance and internal anti-corruption control service reviewed 350 draft decisions and orders of the city and district khokimiyats of Tashkent. As a result, 7 drafts were rejected, and 153 were approved. The inspections ensured savings of 2 billion soums from the Tashkent khokimiyat's reserve fund.
