Uzbekistan received more than 6.5 million foreign tourists from January to June 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee. This marks an increase of 1.3 million visitors, or 24.9%, compared to the same period last year.
The majority of tourists came from neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan led the list with over 1.8 million visitors in the first six months, followed by Kazakhstan with more than 1.5 million, and Tajikistan with 1.47 million.
Among non-neighboring countries, Russia provided the largest tourist flow with 585,500 visitors. Other notable sources include Afghanistan (239,000), China (223,500), Turkmenistan (164,200), and Turkey (95,500).
India and Germany also made the top ten, with 26,400 and 22,300 tourists respectively. Earlier reports indicated Uzbekistan aims to nearly triple the average spending of foreign tourists.
