The activities of state preschool educational organizations have been suspended until July 17 in the Uchquduq, Nurota, Tomdi, and Konimex districts of the Navoiy region, as well as throughout the entire Khorezm region. Kindergartens will resume normal operations on Monday, July 20.
According to the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Navoiy region, the decision to temporarily close kindergartens in four districts was made based on orders from local governors (khokims). In the Khorezm region, a similar decision was made on the recommendation of the regional Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health due to forecasted air temperature rises to +44...+45 degrees Celsius.
From July 14 to July 17, state kindergartens will not operate in the following districts of the Navoiy region: Uchquduq district; Nurota district; Tomdi district (kindergartens No. 2, 4, 5); Konimex district (kindergartens No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17). Throughout the Khorezm region, all state preschool educational organizations will also suspend operations from July 14 to July 17.
These decisions were made to protect children from the negative effects of abnormal heat and ensure their safety. Preschool educational organizations will resume normal operations on Monday, July 20.
Education authorities in both regions urged parents to understand the temporary restrictions aimed at preserving children's health and to pay special attention to their well-being during this period. Earlier, kindergartens in Karakalpakstan were also temporarily closed due to the heat.
