Botir Ilkhomovich Akhmedov, the first deputy governor of Bukhara region for finance, economy and poverty reduction, as well as head of the regional department of economy and finance, has been dismissed from his post.

During a meeting, it was noted that 162 enterprises in Bukhara region with an annual turnover of over 100 million soums had been operating at a loss for three consecutive years, resulting in zero profit tax payments.

Additionally, about 1,500 Bukhara enterprises were found to have not paid value-added tax (VAT), only using the VAT offset mechanism.

Recall that Botir Akhmedov had held this position since 2023.
