A citizen of Uzbekistan, involved in organizing illegal migration through Belarus, has been deported from Poland, according to the Nadbuża Border Guard Service.

The man was detained during a document check at a border checkpoint in Lublin. He had previously served a prison sentence in Zamość.

He allegedly organized the transportation of illegal migrants from the Polish-Belarusian border into the interior of Poland, gaining significant financial benefits.

“The foreigner’s stay in Poland posed a threat to public safety and order, so a decision was made to deport him,” the statement said.

The man was escorted by police to Warsaw Airport and left the country. He has been banned from entering Poland and the Schengen Area for 10 years.

Earlier, Poland extradited another Uzbek citizen wanted by Interpol for major fraud to Uzbekistan.
