Reports have circulated on social media about a powerful explosion and damaged cars on Glinka Street in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent.
Footage published online also shows damage to the road surface. Emergency services and city officials are working at the scene.
According to the Tashkent city administration, one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. Medical assistance was provided promptly.
Traffic on the affected section of the street has been temporarily restricted. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
The causes of the incident are being investigated. The situation is under control of the city administration, with relevant organizations and specialists working on site.
Veolia Energy Tashkent also commented on the incident, stating that an emergency repair crew has been dispatched to the location. Company specialists, together with emergency response services, are determining the circumstances and causes of the collapse.
It is noted that no leaks in the heat supply system have been detected so far.
