On September 3, at the Lusail Palace, a meeting took place between the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva.

The head of the administration conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The message also touched upon bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Emir of Qatar sent his regards to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, wishing him good health and well-being, and the people of Uzbekistan further development and prosperity.

The parties discussed new joint initiatives, further cooperation, and ways to expand it in all spheres.

“Uzbekistan and Qatar are bound by warm and trusting relations that grow stronger every year. Our countries have many common interests and good opportunities for new projects,” said Saida Mirziyoyeva.

Earlier, Saida Mirziyoyeva, together with Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, opened the exhibition “Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion” at the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar.
