As the new academic year kicks off, Tashkent Metro has ramped up its operations during peak hours. Train intervals have been reduced across all lines, and additional staff have been deployed at stations to manage the expected surge in passenger traffic.

On the Chilanzar line, trains now run every 1.5–2 minutes, on the Uzbekistan line every 3 minutes, on the Yunusabad line every 4 minutes, and on the overground circular line every 7–8 minutes. The move comes in response to the anticipated increase in commuters during morning and evening rush hours.

Extra measures have been implemented at all 50 stations, where supervisors and responsible employees are now on duty during peak times. They monitor passenger flow, assist commuters, and promptly address any issues that arise.

Special attention is being paid to high-traffic stations such as Chilanzar, Pakhtakor, Amir Temur Square, Alisher Navoi, and Beruni, where congestion is expected to be highest.

Metro authorities noted that the schedule will be adjusted based on actual passenger numbers. Additionally, starting September 7, a temporary bus route between Mirzo Ulugbek Metro Station and UzSWLU has been launched to ease commuting for students.
