Reports circulated on social media that a tire explosion at a deposit of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC) resulted in the deaths of two workers. The incident has raised serious concerns about industrial safety.

According to the NMMC press service, the accident occurred on September 10 at approximately 15:00 at the storage site for used tires of transport shop No. 1 "Pistali" of the Kyzylkum mining administration. The site is designated for the storage and disposal of worn-out tires.

During tire fitting works on the trailer of a pipe carrier vehicle, a tire exploded, killing two employees. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-investigation check. In addition, state supervisory authorities have launched a special investigation to establish the circumstances and causes of the accident.

The NMMC press service also stated that the company's responsible services are taking necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. However, this tragedy raises serious questions about compliance with industrial safety rules at the enterprise.
