An Uzbek woman and her three children who found themselves in a dire situation in Turkey were sent back to Uzbekistan on September 17 with the assistance of the country's Consulate General in Istanbul, the diplomatic mission reported.

According to the consulate, the woman had traveled to Istanbul seeking work but was left homeless and without support, along with her children. The consulate, in cooperation with Uzbekistan's Migration Agency, provided the family with food, processed the necessary documents, and purchased return air tickets.

"I express my gratitude to our president, the Migration Agency, and the consulate in Istanbul for not leaving us on the street and for sending me and my children back to Uzbekistan," the woman was quoted as saying.

The Consulate General stated that it will continue to provide consular, legal, and practical assistance to Uzbek citizens who find themselves in difficult situations abroad, within the framework of current legislation.
