The Fergana City Court on Criminal Cases has delivered its verdict in the case of two brothers accused of murdering their mother and stepfather. The details were reported by the “Millar” program. According to court documents, the 27-year-old defendant conspired with his underage brother, born in 2009, to seize a house belonging to their mother in Fergana, obtain valuables, and kill their mother, stepfather, and another brother.

According to the plan, the brothers entered the house, and one of them hid in the children’s room. When the couple returned home, the second defendant told his stepfather he had something important to discuss and led him outside. Meanwhile, the elder son, hiding inside, attacked his mother, who was alone in the living room. He strangled her with his hands and an electrical cable, then struck her on the head with a glass object, killing her.

He then sent an SMS to his brother that the first part of the plan was complete. The brother brought the stepfather back inside. The elder brother, hiding in the bathroom, stabbed the stepfather 12 times in various parts of his body with a kitchen knife, killing him as well. The brothers placed the bodies inside a sofa bed and cleaned up the bloodstains. They then waited for another brother to come home in order to kill him too.

In the evening, when the brother arrived, the two defendants attacked him. However, he resisted, ran out of the house, and called neighbors for help. As a result, the defendants were unable to complete their criminal plan. Before fleeing the scene, they took phones, money, jewelry, and other items belonging to the victims.

The Fergana City Court on Criminal Cases sentenced the underage defendant to 13 years of imprisonment by partially combining punishments under Part 3 of Article 59 of the Criminal Code. He will serve his sentence in a juvenile correctional colony. The second defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment for the aggregate of crimes by absorbing the lighter punishment with the heavier one under Part 4 of Article 59 of the Criminal Code.

In court, one of the defendants expressed remorse and said it should serve as a lesson for other young people. “Let it be a lesson for the young, especially for parents. If they had treated their children well and with love, it would not have come to this. Forgive me once again,” he said. The daughter of the murdered stepfather spoke about his attitude toward the children. According to her, her father loved his sons and was not a person who would treat children that way. “They started living together at the end of July 2025. Since then, we had no contact. On February 12, I heard that he had died. I don’t know, maybe because I was the only daughter, he loved boys very much. Because he had no son, he was not a person who would treat a boy like that,” she said.
