A representative of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, Cyril Gou, has commenced his duties in Tashkent. He will coordinate cooperation between French law enforcement agencies and Central Asian countries.

On September 17, Cyril Gou met with the leadership of the International Cooperation Department of the Uzbek Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the meeting, he outlined his new responsibilities and emphasized that his mission in Uzbekistan is of particular importance for developing partnership between France and the region.

His tasks include coordinating cooperation with regional law enforcement, enhancing staff qualifications, and exchanging experience. Furthermore, his activities in Tashkent are significant for the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the field of law enforcement.

The parties discussed plans to expand cooperation, including the organization of high-level visits. The Uzbek Interior Ministry wished Cyril Gou success in his new role.

Earlier, Uzbekistan approved a list of countries to which the transfer of citizens' personal data is permitted. The list includes 49 countries and territories, including Russia, the USA, Germany, the UK, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
