For the first time in the history of Tashkent Metro, more than 1.2 million passengers were served in a single day. On September 28, a total of 1,200,124 passengers used the metro, according to the Tashkent Metro press service.

In connection with this achievement, a special event was organized with the participation of metro officials to identify the 1,200,000th passenger. During the event, this passenger was presented with a commemorative gift on behalf of the metro team and a special transport payment card allowing free use of public transport for one year.

The metro administration emphasized that the recorded result indicates the growing trust and demand of Tashkent residents and guests for metro services. This highlights the important role of the metro in the city's transport system.

Recall that on September 15, a record was also set for the number of passengers on Tashkent buses. On that day, buses carried 1,520,113 passengers. These two records demonstrate the high demand for public transport and the load on urban infrastructure.
