The Yunusabad district administration in Tashkent has provided details about the creation of an artificial reservoir on the territory of the Botanical Garden, where earthworks had previously been carried out. Earlier, reports circulated on social media about tree felling and construction activities in the garden.

The district administration stated that the information about tree felling and the start of construction does not correspond to reality. According to their data, no trees are being cut down in the area.

Currently, a project to create an artificial lake is being implemented. Its area will be 0.5 hectares, with a water volume of 10,000 cubic meters. Additionally, a bicycle and pedestrian path with a length of 1.2 kilometers is planned.

Furthermore, 180 additional trees are planned to be planted on the territory. As explained by the khokimiyat, the reservoir is being created to improve recreation conditions for visitors and to increase humidity necessary for the trees.
