In the Khiva district of the Khorezm region, law enforcement officers discovered a two-meter cannabis bush in the courtyard of a private house and a package of marijuana inside the premises. This was reported by AN Podrobno.uz.

The operation was conducted by officers of the anti-smuggling department of the regional customs administration together with representatives of the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies. During the check, it was found that a 55-year-old man kept about 27 grams of marijuana at his home.

While inspecting the courtyard, law enforcement officers also found a cannabis bush about two meters high. According to the agency, the owner had been growing the plant and carefully tending to it.

A criminal case has been initiated. An investigation is underway.

Earlier, a greenhouse with more than 200 kilograms of cannabis was discovered in Shakhrisabz.
