The head of state announced new initiatives on Wednesday that will radically change the country's education system. Starting from the next academic year, in one class of each of 100 schools, mathematics, computer science, and natural sciences will be taught entirely in English. This move aims to enhance students' international competitiveness.

Teachers involved in the project, as well as educators in preschool preparation groups, will receive a 100% salary bonus. This measure is intended to incentivize qualified personnel and adequately reward their work.

Additionally, a 'quality index' will be introduced in secondary education. Schools will be divided into categories based on the potential of the teaching staff and students' results in learning and upbringing. If an advanced school shares its experience with other schools and helps them move to a higher category, its teaching staff will receive a 30% bonus.

The requirement for educators to travel to the capital or regional center and take month-long courses will be abolished. Instead, professional development vouchers will be introduced. Depending on the result of a qualification test, a teacher can undergo training lasting from 18 to 72 hours. They will be able to choose the course and place of professional development independently.

The head of state emphasized that these changes should turn professional development from a formality into a practical necessity. These reforms are expected to give a real boost to teachers' professional growth and bring the quality of education closer to international standards.
