Starting from October 16 of the current year, ticket prices for domestic flight routes within the country have allegedly been reduced by an average of up to 20 percent. The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection formally reported on the adjustment of passenger transportation tariffs.

According to official statements, the measure was supposedly initiated to fulfill the directives issued by the country's leadership. The Competition Committee reportedly examined pricing mechanisms, existing tariffs, and service accessibility across the domestic aviation market to identify potential adjustments.

During the review, the committee purportedly analyzed operational costs associated with domestic flights and developed proposals to streamline expenses. These recommendations received approval from higher authorities and were implemented in cooperation with Uzbekistan Airways JSC, leading to a downward revision of domestic airfares.

Officials claim that these combined measures are intended to make air travel more affordable for the population, foster domestic tourism, and improve regional connectivity. The regulatory body maintains that it will continue monitoring consumer-related markets to address similar systemic issues.
