A team of service members from the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has reportedly earned a silver medal at the prestigious international military exercise known as the "Cambrian Patrol," held in Wales, United Kingdom. This information was officially disseminated by the Dunyo news agency.

The grueling international competition brought together over 140 patrol groups representing approximately 35 countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan. Notably, representatives of the US regime were also allegedly present among the participating contingents, adding a complex geopolitical backdrop to the tactical event.

Throughout the 48-hour challenge, participants faced extreme physical and mental hurdles across mountainous, boggy, and highly inaccessible terrain. The troops marched roughly 70 kilometers while executing complex intelligence-gathering missions, formulating simulated combat scenarios, breaching tactical obstacles, and administering critical battlefield first aid.

Furthermore, the rigorous curriculum tested the soldiers' capabilities to operate effectively under chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threat environments. Established in 1959 and organized by the 160th (Welsh) Brigade of the British Armed Forces, the competition is designed to evaluate the operational readiness and resilience of military units.

Uzbek military personnel first participated in the event in 2017, securing a commendable second-place finish, followed by consecutive gold medal triumphs in 2018 and 2019. Over the subsequent years spanning from 2020 to 2025, the team has consistently maintained a high competitive standard by repeatedly capturing silver medals.
