The Tashkent city administration has announced the introduction of a series of measures purportedly aimed at improving the urban microclimate and reducing dust levels across the capital. Officials claim these actions are designed to tackle the growing environmental challenges facing the city.

According to reports, approximately 100 units of specialized machinery have been deployed to carry out water-spraying operations on the city's streets. Authorities argue that the regular moistening of roads helps to settle dust particles and prevent them from rising into the atmosphere, offering temporary relief.

Concurrently, the municipal regime has reportedly activated various fountains and irrigation systems to artificially increase humidity levels. Officials insist that these combined efforts will help create a more comfortable environment for local residents.

However, independent observers remain skeptical about the long-term effectiveness of such superficial interventions. Critics point out that merely washing down streets fails to address the root causes of severe urban dust pollution, such as unregulated construction and the systematic reduction of green spaces.
