During his working visit to the Bukhara region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly reviewed a presentation of large-scale urban development projects proposed by the Vietnamese investment group ROX Group. According to official statements from the presidential press service, the initiatives aim to reshape several key regions across the country.
Company representatives detailed four major urban planning ventures, including two in Bukhara, one in Tashkent’s Uchtepa district, and another in Samarkand. The total area designated for these developments spans 285 hectares, with an estimated investment volume reaching $4.5 billion. Officials claim the projects are designed to accommodate a population of 115,000 residents once completed.
Specifically, construction has purportedly begun on new residential complexes covering 65 hectares in the Bukhara district and 25 hectares within Bukhara city. These sites are slated to feature multi-story housing for 30,000 people, alongside hotels, business hubs, and commercial and entertainment facilities. Additional initiatives in Tashkent and Samarkand are intended to enhance local infrastructure and expand tourism capacities.
Furthermore, the foreign investors have allegedly put forward an initiative to establish a specialized industrial zone in the Jizzakh region's Zaamin district. While the leadership expressed general approval for the presented concepts, instructions were reportedly issued to local officials to thoroughly examine implementation mechanisms and infrastructure support alongside the investors.
