Uzbekistan is continuing to implement measures to support socially vulnerable population categories. As part of executing a presidential decision, one-time financial assistance has been transferred to the bank cards of nearly 700,000 families.
As of March 10, a list of 696.2 thousand families has been compiled, with financial support provided to them. The total volume of allocated funds amounted to 467.2 billion Uzbek soums.
Specifically, 237.9 thousand families received 1 million soums each, while another 457.1 thousand families received 500 thousand soums each. The funds were transferred directly to the recipients' bank plastic cards.
Among those who received aid are 216.1 thousand families under state provision, 415.1 thousand low-income families, 17.4 thousand solitary elderly and disabled persons included in the "Register of Solitary Individuals," as well as 4.4 thousand families raising orphans. Additionally, 43 thousand families were included in the recipient list based on recommendations from the so-called "mahalla committee of seven."
The material assistance was also allocated based on a list of low-income families and additional registers formed by civil self-government bodies. The payments were made in accordance with a presidential decision from February 17, aimed at strengthening social support for the population.
