An Israeli airstrike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed three members of a family, including a six-month-old child, medical workers said on Sunday. The attack occurred despite a ceasefire brokered by the United States last year.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah received the bodies of Mohammad Abu Mallouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan, and their infant son Osama in the early hours of Sunday. Around 10 people were wounded in the strike, according to medics. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Since the ceasefire took effect in October, Israel has continued near-daily attacks across the besieged Palestinian territory, with Gaza health authorities reporting nearly 900 deaths. Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reported that Israeli bombing began Sunday as Palestinians fled following forced displacement orders, many carrying personal belongings.

Israeli forces also continued demolishing homes and civilian infrastructure east of Gaza behind the so-called “Yellow Line,” designating military zones and buffer areas. Israeli jets struck Deir el-Balah, causing extensive damage near a hospital.

The Gaza Government Media Office documented at least 2,400 Israeli violations in the first six months of the ceasefire, including over 1,100 airstrikes and 921 shootings targeting civilians. More than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its genocidal war in October 2023, with Israeli officials acknowledging the data's broad accuracy in January.

On Saturday, five police officers and a 13-year-old boy were killed in an Israeli attack. Talks between Israel and Hamas to end the war permanently have stalled, with each side accusing the other of violating the ceasefire. Human Rights Watch warned that Gaza’s humanitarian infrastructure remains in peril more than six months into the ceasefire.
