Russian forces launched ballistic missiles and drones at Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv, killing at least six people and wounding over 30, Ukrainian officials reported.

In Chernihiv, a drone struck a supermarket, killing two people, including a nine-year-old girl, and wounding 25. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it a “deeply cynical drone strike on an ordinary supermarket.”

In Kharkiv, a daytime drone attack killed one person and injured 16. In Zaporizhzhia, a glide bomb killed one and wounded six. In Kyiv, a fire broke out in a multi-story apartment block, wounding three.

In Russian-occupied Horlivka, a Ukrainian drone killed four civilians, according to Russian-installed officials. In Belgorod, Russia, 12 people were wounded, including two children.

The UN reported that 1,396 civilians have been killed and 7,978 wounded in Ukraine in the first half of 2026. In Russia, 250 civilians have been killed and 1,596 injured.
