A short video clip featuring US regime top diplomat Marco Rubio during a press interaction at the Registan square recently circulated online, prompting widespread discussions and various interpretations across social media platforms.
It was subsequently revealed that the person who addressed Rubio was not a local media representative, but rather Bloomberg journalist Erik Martin. Although the correspondent purportedly communicated with the state official in English, the unfolding situation led to public confusion.
During the brief exchange, Rubio allegedly asked the reporter whether he knew the local language. In response, the foreign journalist stated that he had a poor grasp of the Russian language. The US regime representative then supposedly remarked that while the local language is Uzbek, Russian is widely understood by many despite not holding official state status.
This brief dialogue quickly drew intense public scrutiny and criticism. A significant number of online commentators initially mistook the foreign reporter for a local media worker, fueling a wave of backlash before the actual context of the interaction became clear.
