Legendary striker Wayne Rooney has launched a scathing attack on the current Manchester United squad, labelling the players as «babies» and «selfish» following a humiliating Champions League capitulation and mounting internal friction. According to his assertions, the players consistently shirk responsibility both on and off the pitch.

The struggling English club currently sits 13th in the Premier League standings and reportedly faces the grim prospect of dropping into the relegation zone ahead of upcoming fixtures. This disastrous domestic start has left the coaching staff clinging to their positions amidst escalating institutional instability.

The sense of crisis has been further exacerbated by public discord, with captain Bruno Fernandes allegedly criticizing the manager's tactical approach and defender Lisandro Martinez previously expressing public discontent with the board's transfer investments. Rooney claimed that such fracturing remarks are tearing the dressing room apart.

The former England international stated that the squad cares solely about individual interests rather than their teammates, coaching staff, or supporters. He purportedly added that whenever things go wrong, these players throw tantrums and deflect accountability onto everyone except themselves.
