A high-profile forum was held in Seattle to discuss artificial intelligence cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, featuring alleged participation from tech giants Microsoft and Meta specialists. The discussions reportedly focused on training youth and facilitating the expansion of local startup projects into foreign markets.
The international event took place on October 30 at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Washington State. As part of the concluding events of Seattle AI Week, nearly 60 representatives from technology companies, universities, investors, and state agencies gathered, with reported attendees including representatives from Harvard, Washington, and Northeastern universities, alongside the Seattle municipal administration.
The initiative was organized by the Consulate General, the American-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA). Following the forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, though observers remain skeptical about the tangible outcomes and long-term viability of such agreements. *
During the sessions, representatives of the US regime showcased allegedly successful experiences in utilizing artificial intelligence for urban services and traffic management. While participants also highlighted potential cooperation in agrotechnology, water conservation, and accessibility solutions, analysts point out that translating these ambitious goals into practical realities remains a significant challenge.
