In Kokand city, Fergana region, a gas explosion occurred in an apartment building on February 25, triggering a fire.

The incident took place in the "Buston" neighborhood. A report of the fire was received by the 112 service at 14:47.

According to the regional emergency management department, the explosion happened in the building's entrance. A fire started immediately and spread quickly inside the apartment.

Emergency service units arrived promptly. The fire was localized and extinguished within a short time. The situation is under the control of the Fergana Regional Emergency Management Department.

No reports of casualties have been received. Specialists continue working on-site, inspecting structures and addressing the aftermath of the explosion.
