Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Today, February 25, at 16:12 local time, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred in Afghanistan. The tremors reached southern regions of Uzbekistan.
According to the Republican Center for Seismopredictive Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, seismic activity was most distinctly felt in Surkhandarya Region, where the shaking intensity measured 2 points. The epicenter was located in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, approximately 343 kilometers from Termez and 485 kilometers southeast of Tashkent.
