In Uzbekistan, vaccination coverage reached 95% by the end of 2025, according to data released by the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare.

The committee emphasized that immunization covered 5.6 million children vaccinated with 13 types of vaccines. These measures helped maintain a stable situation regarding manageable diseases and confirm international certificates of their elimination.

Notable successes were achieved in hepatitis C treatment: from 2022 to 2025, 47,732 patients were fully cured, made possible through budget funding and medications from Egypt.

In food market control, large-scale seizures of substandard products were recorded. Over the year, specialists disposed of more than 33,000 tons of expired goods, led by sweets (259 tons), beverages (251 tons), vegetables and fruits (220 tons), and meat products (106 tons).

Meanwhile, 44 cases of food poisoning were reported, most of which (29 cases) occurred due to consumption of homemade vegetable preserves. These poisonings affected 63 people, including 17 children, with 6 intoxication cases directly recorded in kindergartens.

Beyond medical and sanitary control, the committee focused on legal support for citizens and organizations. During the year, the committee received 3,877 appeals, with positive decisions or official explanations provided for 82% of them.

Large-scale diagnostics also addressed screening for viral hepatitis B and C, with over 2.4 million rapid tests distributed to regions. This comprehensive work aims to strengthen public health long-term and prevent the spread of infectious threats.
