Temporary restrictions have been imposed on methane fuel stations in Karakalpakstan. According to the Hududgaz Karakalpakstan gas supply branch, this is due to a drop in pressure in main gas networks caused by a sharp decrease in air temperature.
As a result, priority has been given to ensuring stable gas supply to individual households and socially significant facilities. Temporary restrictions are being gradually introduced on methane fuel stations.
The current situation is expected to improve within 3-4 days. Similar restrictions have been periodically imposed since December last year amid falling temperatures.
According to the Ministry of Energy, pressure in gas pipelines decreases when demand for gas increases. During such periods, priority is given to gas supply for residents, medical and educational institutions, and public transport.
From February 2, AGTCS operated from 10:00 to 16:00, after two weeks of severely limited operations. Propane filling stations continued to function.
Starting February 11, methane fuel stations across all regions of Uzbekistan began gradually returning to normal operating schedules.
