In Bukhara Region, a 13-year-old schoolgirl became a mother after being subjected to sexual violence. Children's Ombudsman Surayyo Rakhmonova officially confirmed the fact. A criminal case has been initiated, and the suspect has been detained.

According to Kun.uz, the minor's pregnancy was detected at a late stage, during the sixth month. The investigation identified the suspect as an acquaintance of the family.

He is currently placed in a pre-trial detention center, with procedural actions underway to secure evidence. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 4 of Article 118 ("Rape of a person under 14 years of age").

The situation is under the personal supervision of the Children's Ombudsman.
