Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Department of Public Safety under the Ministry of Internal Affairs has officially denied information circulating on social media about the death of a traffic police officer who was hit by a car in Tashkent's Mirabad district.

The incident became known the day before from social media. According to eyewitness reports, the incident occurred near the "Mirabad" (Hospital) market, where the officer was struck by a BMW M4 Competition vehicle.

Despite widespread public resonance, the department focused solely on refuting the information about the officer's death. Meanwhile, the circumstances of the incident itself have not yet been commented on by the authorities.

Social media also reported that the driver of the car may have been a minor.
