The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will hold its Annual Meeting and Business Forum titled “Eurasia 2030+: Investment, Growth, and New Opportunities” in Almaty on June 25-26. The event is dedicated to the bank’s 20th anniversary and will serve as a platform for discussing key regional development directions.
The forum will cover investments in sustainable development, digital technologies, Islamic finance in Central Asia, and transport infrastructure development. Speakers include heads of leading Islamic finance institutions from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Bahrain, and the UAE, as well as AI futurist Tariq Kureishi from the United States.
Participants are expected to include government officials from Central Asian countries, top executives of major companies such as Uzum Holding CEO Jasur Jumaev and KazAvtoZhol NC JSC Chairman Darkhan Imanashev, as well as representatives of multilateral development banks and expert communities.
The Eurasian Development Bank is a multilateral development bank operating in Eurasia. According to EDB data, by the end of 2025, the bank’s accumulated portfolio comprised 326 projects with a total investment volume of $19.6 billion. Under its 2022–2026 Strategy, the EDB is implementing three megaprojects: the Central Asia Water and Energy Complex, the Eurasian Transport Framework, and the Eurasian Commodity Distribution Network.
