Retail stores in the Fergana Region have been found selling children's toys that do not meet safety requirements. Samples of these products were sent for laboratory testing, and based on the results, it has been recommended to withdraw them from sale and suspend their distribution.
Inspections were conducted across the region's trading points, where samples of toys named "Soft Jelly Balls" and "Slime Monsters Laboratory" were collected. Laboratory tests determined that this merchandise fails to comply with safety standards for children's toys, including labeling regulations.
Specifically, the packaging lacked information on the importer, expiration date, and storage conditions. Furthermore, the studies revealed that the toys do not meet the technical regulations regarding odor intensity levels, as well as requirements for toys with liquid fillers.
In response to the identified cases, warning letters have been issued to the trading organizations involved. This incident is viewed as a significant threat to children's health and safety, as improperly labeled and unregulated products can pose harm.
The government and regulatory authorities in Uzbekistan maintain ongoing monitoring to ensure product safety in markets, yet such cases highlight gaps in the control system. Citizens are advised to exercise caution when purchasing toys for children and opt for certified products.
