Uzbek diplomats have assisted citizens stranded in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi (UAE) with hotel accommodation due to flight cancellations since February 28. According to the "Dunyo" news agency, 93 citizens were placed at Hyatt Place Dubai, including 61 who had been previously evicted.
27 citizens evicted from Floria Hotel were also provided housing. Another 5 citizens found homeless were relocated to safe locations. Accommodation was arranged for 39 Uzbek citizens at Hampton by Hilton Dubai.
In Abu Dhabi, 4 citizens in difficult social situations were placed at AG Hotel Abu Dhabi. "Dunyo" reported that diplomatic missions are continuously monitoring the situation and promptly addressing each request.
On March 3, a Uzbekistan Airways flight arrived in Tashkent with passengers from a February 28 cancelled flight. Earlier, 160 people were reported placed in hotels. On March 2, a Centrum Air aircraft departed Dubai without passengers.
Gazeta reported that the general situation in Dubai is calm, but air defense system activations are occasionally heard. "Dunyo" had also reported about 600 Uzbek citizens in Qatar.
