The social norm for natural gas consumption during the heating season has been extended to March 15 in all regions of Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Energy announced this decision.
"Due to updated weather forecasts and the likelihood of cold air masses entering other parts of the country, the base norm of 500 cubic meters has been extended to March 15, 2026," the ministry stated.
After March 15, additional measures may be taken based on weather conditions.
The increased base norm applies from November to February, and it decreases by 100 cubic meters from March 1. In 2025, this norm was extended to April 1 for all regions.
Low-income families receive monthly compensation for electricity and natural gas.
Previously, the base norm was extended to March 15 only for Karakalpakstan and Khorezm.
